The Times newspaper caught up with Rotherham council leaders who were criticised by the child abuse inquiry, one of who was reported by LAAS. When Dame Louise Casey published the 2015 inspection report that declared Rotherham council “not fit for purpose”, some of her sternest criticism was aimed at Jahangir Akhtar.
