BDS founder invited to speak at conference

LAAS statement

Omar Barghouti at Labour conference

Labour Against Antisemitism are appalled that Omar Barghouti, a co-founder of BDS, has been invited to speak at a fringe event at this year's Labour conference.

The BDS movement is considered by many to be antisemitic due to its apparent support for a one-state solution that would see Israel rid of Jews, its apparent reported obsession with targeting the world's only Jewish state and the frequent alledged extreme antisemitism displayed by its members, so it is no surprise to see that their co-founder has been invited to a fringe Labour event.

Once again, instead of being an inclusive anti-racist party, reaching out to alienated concerned Jewish members, we see the Labour Party associating with alleged antisemites.
