Glyn Secker behind opposition to new antisemitism rules

Fiona Sharpe, spokesman for Labour Against Antisemitism, said: “Glyn Secker appears to be organising an emergency motion to block plans to enable expulsions from the Labour Party for antisemitism.

"Just a few months ago, his widely reported ‘What on earth are Jews doing in the gutter?’ speech at a London demonstration should have led to his own immediate expulsion from the party.

"His case was apparently blocked by senior figures in the Labour Party hierarchy.

"Now Mr Secker is doing what his organisation always does - trying to ensure supporters of Jeremy Corbyn who hold antisemitic views continue to be protected in the Labour Party.”
