LAAS Statement on the Forde Inquiry Call For Evidence
Earlier this week the Forde Inquiry, set up by Keir Starmer to investigate the leaked report ‘The work of the Labour Party’s Governance and Legal Unit in relation to antisemitism, 2014 – 2019’, issued an invitation ‘for evidence and views from individuals affected by the Report’.
We consider the leaked report to be highly inaccurate and reject many of the accusations levelled against our organisation and our members within the report as false. As members of LAAS who were named in the leaked report are now taking legal action against the Labour Party, we therefore do not consider it appropriate to engage with the Forde Inquiry. Nor do we have any faith in its independence.
We will not be commenting further.
